What is a School Sports Partnership?
School Sport Partnerships (SSPs) are groups of schools working together to develop PE and sport opportunities for all young people.
What is the aim of a School Sports Partnership?
The overall aim of the SSP is to create a world class systerm for PE and Sport, as set out in Public Service Agreement 22:
"To increase the numbers of 5 - 16 year olds particitpating in at least 2 hours of high quality PE and sport in school per week. In addition, the Government wants more opportunities for 5-19 year olds to participate in a further 3 hours per week of sporting activities through attractive provision designed to stimulate and increase take-up and sustain participation."
